It has been a few weeks since I posted on my blog. But I now have my new computer and I am able to blog again. So, there are lots if things to blog about but I think I will focus on something Julie wrote about. She joked about our family having group meetings at "Workaholics Anonymous". While that is a funny joke, we also need to keep everything in perspective.
Thresa and I just enjoyed a fabulous weekend in Chicago. We got to really enjoy the weekend with a Maroon 5 concert, Beauty and the Beast tickets, dinner with Rosie and John. We also did some shopping. But the best part was enjoying the weekend together.
My point is that our work ethic and our saving is what permitted us to have this weekend away. While Thresa and I work hard, and we passed that along to our kids, we always work with a purpose: saving for a future goal. The goal can be college, a trip, a purchase, just having some savings to handle the unexpected drowned computer or to save for retirement. So, keep working hard but always know this: Work to live don't live to work.
