Normally Mondays are a little tough for people since you have to return to work. But this Monday is not too bad for me because of the great weekend we just had. First, Thresa and I got to see all 4 of our kids this weekend. Julie was home for the weekend, Sara and Kel stopped by on Saturday and Sunday, we went shopping out to dinner with Lisa on Sunday and I saw Karen at the CCHS girls basketball game on Saturday night. Thresa got to ride with Karen to my great niece's baby shower. We did not get to see Jeremy but he was watching Illinois beat Iowa so that is OK. Along with all of that, CCHS girls basketball won 2nd in state so that really made for a great weekend.
To me, the weekend was a huge success because we got to see all of our kids and all of them are doing great.
The odd fact today is not really a fact. But it is odd. If you watch the Amazing Race, you will understand. Just think of Flight Time and Big Easy as Kangaroos.

My first blog ever
So many other people have blogs that I figured I would do the same. That way, the whole world will see whatever I choose about my life. And to answer my initial question of "Why does this guy have a blog" - I have no idea. I suspect this will bore you to tears or maybe just scare you with whatever random thoughts fill my brain. Anyway, it is your time to spend.
This week is the first week since returning from our Mexico trip. That vacation was fantastic. The weather and resort were great. The friends we traveled with were great. And it is always a highlight to get to travel with Thresa. We really enjoy going to new places (heck, going anywhere together). We are fortunate to be able to save money to go on trips. By the way, we only spent cash on this trip so no bills from this trip await us.
For work this week, it has been typical. I like my job and feel that I do it well. I even like working from home but I do miss seeing people daily. And I am lucky in that the people I currently work with are very good. In fact, my whole career has been spend working with excellent people.
Not much else to say right now. So I will try to leave with one of the many random thoughts that are working in my head. How amazing is human skin? It repels waters, keeps inside stuff in and outside stuff out. It breaths. It can be cut but then it heals. It keeps you warm and cool. No man-made fabric or fiber can come close to doing any of this stuff. If someone invented a coat or glove even remotely close to human skin, it would change the world.
I told you it was random.
